Need a new take on the classic porridge? Check out this gluten-free, dairy-free porridge that is filled plant based protein, healthy fats and fibre to help keep you feeling fuller for longer. - 3 tbsp almond meal
- 3 tbsp quinoa flakes (or brown rice flakes)
- 1 tbsp desiccated coconut
- 1 tbsp flaxseed meal
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 1.5 cups plant milk of choice
- Pinch cinnamon
- Pinch ground nutmeg
- Pinch ground cardamom
- Generous drizzle of Comvita Mānuka Honey UMF 5+
To serve, your choice of:
- Nut butter
- Fresh or poached fruit
- Chia jam
- Coconut yogurt
- Chopped nuts, seeds, coconut
- Extra Comvita Mānuka Honey.
- Method: In a saucepan combine all dry ingredients with 1 cup milk and set aside for 5 minutes.
- Add remaining milk and stir over medium heat for 2-4 minutes or until reached desired thickness. Stir through Mānuka Honey.
- Serve with your choice of toppings and finish with a drizzle of Mānuka Honey.
Recipe tips: Prepare dry ingredients in bulk and store in a glass jar (away from heat and light) for easy, time saving breakfasts.
